ADVANCE YOUR DEBATE SKILLS THROUGH PRACTICE & COMPETITION
For Ages 12 to 18
Debate Club Membership Requirements (no exceptions)
- Must be age 12 to 18 by September 1st of the academic year
- Must attend one of our 3-day intro or intermediate/advanced Team Policy or Lincoln Douglas debate camps
- Must compete in at least one debate tournament each semester
Debate camp is an excellent 24-hour intensive learning experience that cannot be replicated in 1.5-hour weekly club meetings. At camp, students will be immersed into the debate topic for next season, and learn the skills necessary to construct cases and briefs, craft cross-examination questions, and defend their position effectively. Therefore, our 3-day debate camp training is required for all Debate Club members.
